How we protect your information

Like most online services, ClaimScope relies on a small number of outside providers. Here is what each kind of provider does and the most it can receive. Last updated October 12, 2026.

Our safeguards

Kinds of providers we use

Secure hosting and storage

Runs the website, account database, and storage for the files you upload.

What it can receive: Account details, your matters, and uploaded files. Files travel over encrypted connections and are stored in storage scoped to your account.

Document processing

A dedicated, access-restricted server reads and organizes your records for analysis.

What it can receive: Working copies of your uploaded records and the text read from them. They're deleted from the processing server as soon as your final report is delivered. If processing stops before then, they're kept for 30 days so it can be resumed, then deleted. Notes from the analysis (findings drawn from your records, not the files themselves) stay until you delete the matter, so a re-review doesn't repeat paid work.

AI analysis

An AI model provider analyzes the text of your records under business terms.

What it can receive: Record text sent for analysis and the analysis returned. Requests are sent with response storage turned off. Under the provider's business terms, this data is not used to train its models; the provider may keep it for a limited time for abuse monitoring.

Sign-in

Verifies who you are when you sign in.

What it can receive: Your email address and sign-in session. Never your records.

Payments

Processes payment when you buy a review.

What it can receive: Billing name and payment status. Card numbers go directly to the payment processor; ClaimScope never sees or stores them. Never your records.

Attorney fee payments

Takes payment of attorney fees for ClaimScopeLaw, deposited to the firm's client trust account.

What it can receive: Your name, email, and payment amount. Card details go directly to the payment service. Never your records.

Email notices

Sends account and status emails.

What it can receive: Your email address and a short notice. Records are never attached.

Electronic signatures

Collects signatures if you hire an attorney through ClaimScopeLaw.

What it can receive: Your name, the engagement documents, VA appointment forms, and the signing record.

Website measurement

Measures visits to our public pages and advertising results.

What it can receive: Page visits on public pages only, with consent controls. It is never loaded on sign-in, upload, results, or attorney-intake pages.

We update this page whenever we add a kind of provider or change how information is used. Each provider is named in our privacy notice, with what it can receive and how long information is kept.
