Independent software service
ClaimScope is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or part of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. References to VA describe the subject matter of the service and do not imply government approval.
Self-service use does not create an attorney-client relationship
ClaimScope’s founders both hold law degrees; one of them is a licensed, VA-accredited attorney. Use of the self-service website, purchase of an automated review, upload of records, or receipt of generated work product does not create an attorney-client relationship or appoint a representative. Separate attorney representation (One Decision or Complex Decision, through ClaimScopeLaw LLC) creates a limited attorney-client relationship only after conflicts clearance, written acceptance, execution of the engagement documents, and payment; the signed agreement controls its exact scope and ending.
Separate attorney-advised pathway
A user may submit a request for attorney eligibility review concerning an issue VA has already decided. An intake request authorizes only conflicts, fee-eligibility, deadline, and capacity screening. No legal advice or representation begins unless an identified attorney separately accepts the matter in writing, the parties sign an engagement agreement, and any required VA appointment and fee documents are completed. ClaimScope may decline any matter. Submission does not extend a deadline.
Decision support—not a filing service
ClaimScope may identify potential issues, compare review lanes, organize evidence, and generate draft materials. It does not file a claim or appeal, communicate with VA for the user, extend a deadline, guarantee eligibility, or promise an outcome. Users remain responsible for verifying all deadlines, forms, facts, and submissions.
Medical work product
A generated nexus-letter draft is a clinician work aid, not a medical opinion. A qualified clinician must independently review the evidence, supply professional reasoning, edit or reject the draft, and sign only if the final opinion is genuinely the clinician’s own.
Accuracy and record limitations
Automated extraction, OCR, and model-assisted analysis may be incomplete or wrong. Results depend on the completeness and readability of the uploaded record. Users must review source citations, limitations, and unresolved questions before acting.
Acceptable use
Users may upload only records they are authorized to provide. Users may not upload malware, unlawfully obtained records, unrelated third-party records, or material intended to disrupt or misuse the service.
Service availability
Features may change, processing may pause, and access may be restricted for security, maintenance, legal, or reliability reasons. Current prices, page allowances, and upgrade terms are shown before checkout. A purchase does not guarantee uninterrupted availability or a particular processing time.
Refunds
If your records are over your plan’s page limit, the review stops before any report is made and your purchase is returned to your account for another review; you may ask for a refund instead. If your C-File Review finds nothing worth pursuing, ask within 30 days of your results and we’ll refund it in full. For attorney representation, you receive a full refund if the attorney finds no viable review route before writing your memo. Deleting a matter does not issue a refund. For any other refund question, reply to your receipt email or write to support@claimscopeveterans.com within 30 days of purchase; we answer every request.
Claim Watch membership
Claim Watch is an optional yearly software membership for users who have bought a review. It includes email reminders before review deadlines shown in your results, up to twelve reruns of a review each membership year (at most two in any seven days) when VA issues a new decision or you add a new record, and refreshed estimates when VA's compensation rates change. Reminder dates are estimates from your results; the deadline that controls is the one on VA's decision letter, and you remain responsible for filing on time. Claim Watch does not file anything for you or create representation. Claim Watch renews automatically each year at $79 until you cancel. We email you 7 days before each renewal. Cancel anytime from your account page; you keep access until the end of the year you paid for.
